The body of a man believed to be missing Tyrone Adams has been found by a member of the public.
While formal identification has not yet been carried out, police believe the body belongs to the missing 48 year old and his family have been informed.
The man's body was discovered at around 11.30am on 12 June in a field off Lyme Road in Crewkerne.
The death is being treated as unexplained and Avon and Somerset officers do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances.
Avon and Somerset officers are trying to track down Mohammed Farah, wanted on recall to prison for breaching his licence conditions.
Farah was given an eight year jail sentence in December 2011 for committing GBH with intent.
He has links to the St George and Easton areas of Bristol and is 6ft tall, of slim build, with short black hair and has gold teeth on the right side of his mouth.
Detectives are urging the public to call 999 as soon as possible if he is seen.

The body of a man has been found outside a property in Bristol.
Avon and Somerset Police were called just after 6.20am on 31 May to a house in Barton Hill. Officers are making enquiries into the man's sudden death but at this stage it is not being treated as suspicious.
Detectives are now working on behalf of the coroner though continue to appeal for information, urging people to call 101.

Police have charged a man with fraud and theft after items were stolen from a man whose body was found after a fire in Bristol.
The fire was at a flat in Rowan House was on the 15 May. 49-year-old Richard Powell was found dead at the flat - his death is not being treated as suspicious.
Stephen Gareth Cadman, of Hartcliffe, has been charged with one count of fraud and one count of theft.
The charges relate to the theft of a mobile phone and fraudulent use of a bank card.
Cadman was released on bail and will appear in court on 13 July.
A man's jaw has been broken as he tried to defend his friends from racist abuse in Taunton.
It happened on Friday afternoon in Victoria Park - the 20 year old victim was walking with two women at around 5pm.
Police say they were approached by a large group of young people - some of whom then racially abused the two women before repeatedly punching the man in the face.
This was a violent and disturbing attack in which the victim and his friends were threatened and intimidated by a large group of people.
There can never be any excuse for hate crime or violence in any shape or form and this criminality will not be tolerated.
Police are keen to hear from any witnesses.
