A removable cross is in place at Haycombe Crematorium in Bath following a row that broke out when a window with a cross on it was due to be replaced.

The council said, in order to appeal to people of all faiths, the new window should *not *have a Christian symbol.

But Christian leaders reacted with anger.

A compromise has been reached - and a cross in the new window can be left up or taken down.
