Police searching for wanted man in Bristol

Avon and Somerset officers are trying to track down Mohammed Farah, wanted on recall to prison for breaching his licence conditions.

Farah was given an eight year jail sentence in December 2011 for committing GBH with intent.

He has links to the St George and Easton areas of Bristol and is 6ft tall, of slim build, with short black hair and has gold teeth on the right side of his mouth.

Detectives are urging the public to call 999 as soon as possible if he is seen.

Man dies after suffering serious injuries in Bristol

Police have cordoned off a large area of where Pennywell Road meets White Street

A man has died after he was found with serious injuries in Bristol.

The man, who has not been identified, was found in Pennywell Road, in Easton yesterday. He was taken to hospital but sadly later died of his injuries.

Police say his death is being treated as unexplained, and a post mortem is being carried out.

An investigation was launched yesterday (18/2) after a man was found with serious injuries in the Pennywell Road area of Bristol.

The local community will see an increased police presence in the area as our investigation continues.

Woman taken to hospital following arson attack

A woman has been taken to hospital following an arson attack at her home in Bristol.

The incident took place at around 1am Saturday morning at the house on Colston Road in Easton.

The fire service were quickly able to put out the blaze, and the woman was take to hospital as a precaution.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses who may have seen anything suspicious in the area.

They're particularly keen to trace a man who is captured on CCTV and who may have witnessed the attack and followed the offender.

Police trying to trace car's movements in murder investigation

Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for the public’s help in tracing the movements of a red Peugeot 107 as part of a murder inquiry.

The body of Karina Batista, 40, was found at a property in Kensington Park at about 10.20am on February 13.

A post-mortem examination found she died from multiple injuries to the upper body.

A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.

As part of their investigation police say they want to hear from anyone who saw the red Peugeot 107 between 3.15am and 6am on February 13.

They believe the car, which has a hubcap missing from the front left wheel, was in the Keynsham area at the time.

Police are also looking for a gold Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge mobile phone which may have been disposed in Keynsham at around 4am.
