A retired bishop has been jailed at the Old Bailey for 32 months for abusing his power to exploit young aspiring priests for his own "selfish sexual motive" over a 15 year period.
Peter Ball, who lives in Langport in Somerset, is a former bishop of Lewes and of Gloucester.

An elderly man has died after a fire at a house in Langport in Somerset.
It started in a bedroom in the early hours of this morning. The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries but later died. A woman was also rescued and treated for breathing problems.
It is thought to have been caused accidentally.
