Senior Bristol Lib Dem calls for Nick Clegg to resign
A senior Liberal Democrat in Bristol has joined calls for party leader Nick Clegg to resign.
Steve Comer, who ran the party's council election campaign, compared Mr Clegg to a football manager who would be sacked after a series of bad results.
The Lib Dems lost their only Euro-MP in the region, as well as seven council seats in Bristol - one of them to UKIP. Today however Mr Clegg was still insisting he wouldn't resign. You can watch Bob Constantine's report below.
Wife of Torbay Lib Dem MP calls for Clegg to resign
The wife of a Liberal Democrat MP for the South West has signed a petition calling on party leader Nick Clegg to resign.
Alison Sanders is the wife of Adrian Sanders, the Lib Dem MP for Torbay, who has himself been critical of the leadership after last week's poor showing in the council and European elections.
Mr Sanders says his wife is "entitled to her view", although Mr Clegg is still insisting he won't go.

A senior Liberal Democrat in Bristol has joined calls for Nick Clegg to step down as party leader in the wake of last week's disastrous council and European elections.
The Lib Dems lost their only Euro-MP in the region as well as seven seats in Bristol, one of them to UKIP.
The man in charge of the party's campaign in the city, Steve Comer, says he's signed an activists' petition calling for Mr Clegg to go:-

Deputy Prime Minister at ITV Westcountry
The Deputy Prime Minister arrived at ITV Westcountry studios this afternoon to discuss his party's prospects ahead of the European elections. It follows a poll that shows just six per cent of voters in the region are prepared to vote Liberal Democrat, with UKIP on 44 per cent.

Nick Clegg to open Bridgwater's Mulberry factory today
Nick Clegg will be in Somerset later today. The Deputy Prime Minister will open the new Mulberry Bag factory in Bridgwater. Hundreds of jobs have been created after the company received funding through the Government's Regional Growth Fund.

Nick Clegg answers ITV West Country viewers
The leader of the liberal democrats, Nick Clegg has told ITV West Country that his party IS playing a key role in the coalition Government.
He was responding to claims from ITV West Country viewers that the party are junior partners to the Conservatives, with little influence.
The comments came in an interview Mr Clegg gave to political correspondent Bob Constantine at the party's annual conference in Glasgow.
