Police searching for missing teen find body

Officers searching for a missing teenager have found a body.

Edward Dinsmore was last seen at around 7.30pm on Monday when he left his home in Quedgeley.

Sadly police searching for the 18-year-old say they have now found a body believed to be Edward.

Although formal identification has not yet taken place, his next of kin have been informed.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

Police are urgently appealing for a missing teenager who disappeared from his home in Gloucester.

He is considered very vulnerable.

Edward is 5foot 11, of a broad build, with light brown hair that's shaven on the sides and long on the top combed over.

He has a West Country accent is was last seen wearing black jeans, a black denim jacket, a white t-shirt, a large gold watch and a Ralph Lauren satchel bag.

82 year old left in life-threatening condition after "cowardly attack"

An 82-year-old woman has been left in a potentially life-threatening condition after she was robbed in Quedgeley near Gloucester.

The incident took place at about 4:15 on Wednesday afternoon: a man is believed to have approached the woman from behind as she walked across Giles Cox. She was pushed to the ground as he grabbed her handbag and fled the scene on a bike.

She sustained a head injury, and a broken shoulder and a broken collar bone. After being taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital she remains in a stable condition but Police say her injuries are considered potentially life-threatening.

This was a cowardly attack on a defenceless, elderly woman who has been left in a serious condition.

We are pursuing a number of lines of inquiry including forensic, house to house and CCTV inquiries and are determined to find this man.

Her attacker is a white man aged between 18 and 22. He's of slim build, clean shaven and was wearing black denim jeans and a grey top with a blue hood or a blue hoodie underneath.

Anyone who saw anything on Wednesday or thinks they known the man is asked to contact the police

Woman undergoes emergency surgery after M5 crash

A woman has undergone emergency surgery after a Christmas Eve pile-up in Gloucestershire that closed part of the M5 for eight hours.

The crash involving five cars and a van happened on the northbound carriageway between Jct 13 Stroud and Jct 12 Quedgeley at around 7pm.

The woman, who is 38 and from Ross-on-Wye, was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol. Two other people were hurt.


CCTV issued in child abduction investigation

Police investigating a possible abduction of a child in Gloucester have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to interview.

Police have made the appeal following a call they received on 13 November.

A man called 999 from a phone box on Sellars Road in Hardwicke at 4.10pm explaining to an officer that a girl was by the window of a black Vauxhall Vectra driven by a white man of large build who appeared to grab at the girl. When the man was asked further questions by the operator he hung up.

Officers are urging the man who rang 999 to call back on 999 or 101.

The incident is believed to have happened on Naas Lane in Quedgeley, Gloucester, at around 4pm on 13 November.

Masked robbers raid Quedgeley supermarket

Police are looking for two masked men who robbed a supermarket in Quedgeley near Gloucester armed with baseball bats.

It happened on Bristol Road at 10pm on Friday night (14 June). They dragged two staff into a back office and made another open a safe. They made off with £1,000 in a black holdall.

The robbers are described as 5'8" and 6' tall, both of slim build and wearing dark clothes.
