Man charged after stabbing two people on Christmas Day

A 38-year-old man has been charged after two men were stabbed in Chard town centre on Christmas Day.

Sylwester Mazur has been charged with two counts of wounding with intent and possessing a 'blade/sharp pointed article' in a public place.

It's after an incident on Fore Street at around 9.30pm.

The injured pair were treated for their injuries but have since been discharged from hospital.

Mazur, of Henson Park, is due to appear at Taunton Magistrates' Court this morning.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested after two men were stabbed on Christmas Day in Chard.

It happened on Fore Street between 9-9.30pm.

Avon and Somerset say the pair were taken to hospital for non life threatening injuries and have now been discharged.

Police say all the people involved were known to each other.

Three men have been arrested following a stabbing in Weymouth.

Police officers were called to Bath Street near the seafront this morning, 4 August.

A man was was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be life threatening.

Searches by armed officers and a police helicopter led to the three men being detained on the esplanade.
