Killed Wiltshire soldiers named

Five Wiltshire-based soldiers killed in an explosion in Afghanistan have been named. The Ministry of Defence have confirmed the deaths of Corporal Jake Hartley, 20, Private Anthony Frampton, 20, Private Christopher Kershaw, 20, Private Daniel Wade, 20, and Private Daniel Wilford, 21.

The men from 3rd Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment had been travelling in an armoured vehicle when it was caught in an explosion. A soldier from 1st Battalion The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment was also killed in the explosion. He was named as Sergeant Nigel Coupe, aged 33.

The latest deaths bring the total number of UK service personnel killed in Afghanistan since 2001 to 404.
