Somerset communities could receive nearly £100m if the proposed Hinkley Point C power station gets the go ahead.

The news comes after a landmark agreement between EDF Energy and local councils today, which is expected to be formally signed by the end of the month.

EDF want to build Britain's first new nuclear power station for 20 years at Hinkley. Protestors fear the station could be dangerous and could damage the environment.
