West Country badger cull

A cull of around 5,000 badgers can now legally get underway in Somerset and Gloucestershire as the Government tries to stop the spread of Bovine TB in cattle. If it is a success, it is expected to be rolled out in other parts of the country.

West Country Minister defends looming badger cull

The Liberal Democrat MP for Somerset and Frome, David Heath, is Minister of State for Agriculture and Food at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

He visited the Royal Bath and West Show at Shepton Mallet on Wednesday and spoke to ITV News West Country about the impending badger cull in Gloucestershire and Somerset:
