A Somerset diving group has bought a new boat thanks to the thousands of breakfasts they served up at Glastonbury Festival this year.

Members of Street Divers Sub Aqua Club cooked up a 24-hour breakfast service, with all profits going towards their new £40,000 scuba diving rig.

The club, known as Street Divers, are officially naming the boat at a special ceremony in Street today. Glastonbury Festival organiser Michael Eavis will 'christen' the raft 'Street Diver', not with a traditional bottle of Champagne but instead, with a bottle of Somerset cider.

The new club’s new boat, which was made by a firm based in Yeovil, first saw service at the London 2012 Olympics. It was then used as a safety boat for the sailing events off the Dorset coast.
