Floral tributes to be moved to nearby church garden

Flowers placed in tribute to the victims of yesterday's lorry accident are to be moved to a nearby church.

The Morovian Church has offered that they be placed next to the memorial tree, which is also part of Weston Free Church at the bottom of Lansdown Lane.

Bath & North East Somerset Council has taken the decision to move the flowers to this spot as a more suitable area for people to visit or leave their own offerings.

Books of condolence have also been placed in Weston Library and Bath Library as a more permanent way for people to show their respects.

Bath & North East Somerset Council would like to send condolences to the families and friends of those who died yesterday. We are working to support the school and the local community in dealing with this tragic incident.
