Grandmother injured in lorry crash had moved to Bath to look after her grandchildren

The grandmother of the little girl killed by yesterday's Lansdown Lane tragedy had moved to Bath just two months ago to help look after her grandchildren.

4-year-old Mitzi Rosanna Steady died after she was hit by a tipper truck while walking to Weston All Saint's Primary School. Her grandmother was also hit in the tragedy and is being treated in hospital.

A friend of the family has spoken of the tragedy.

Mitzi was always giggly. You never saw her sad. She was bouncy and giggly.

Margaret is a really lovely family lady. Wonderful. Always so helpful.

– Annette Stearns, family friend
