It's Plymouth's biggest music event of the year, and the first night line-up for this summer’s MTV Crashes Plymouth is firming up.
Tinie Tempah and Jess Glynne have both been confirmed for the first night of the two-day music festival, which last year saw around 20,000 people descend on the Hoe.
Tinie Tempah will be headlining on 22 July. He had a number one with his debut album Disc-Overy and has since won BRIT Awards for Best British Breakthrough Act and Best British Single, as well as getting two top 10 singles in the UK charts.
MTV Crashes Plymouth is going to be awesome. It’s so beautiful down there. I can’t wait to get out there and perform by the sea this summertime.
It’s going to be a wicked show!
He’ll be joined by pop star Jess Glynne, who's had three number ones. ‘Hold My Hand’ held the top spot for three weeks. Her debut solo single reached the top 10 and her first album is expected later this year.
I’m so happy to be announced for MTV Crashes Plymouth with Tinie Tempah! This is a really exciting year for me with my album coming out later in the year and the summer is going to be mental.
MTV Plymouth, let’s do it!
The event will be broadcast live around the world.
More names for both days will be announced soon.
