An 11-year-old boy has been killed while cycling with his father and brother through a Wiltshire village.
It happened last night in Purton near Swindon. Police believe the 11-year-old cycled into the middle of the road to avoid parked cars . He was hit by a roadsweeping vehicle and died at the scene.
Today friends have been expressing their shock.
The driver of the roadsweeper is believed to be uninjured. Police are encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
