Launceston Steam Railway worker robbed at knifepoint

The man is thought to be in his 40s or 50s

Police are questioning a man after an armed robbery at Launceston Steam Railway in Cornwall.

A man threatened the assistant working in the railway's gift shop, pulling out a kitchen knife and demanding the contents of the till.

He made off with several hundred pounds, assaulting a police officer nearby before escaping.

The officer needed hospital treatment but is not said to be badly hurt. No one at the railway was injured.
