MPs advised to review security after MP killing

MPs have been advised to review their security after Labour MP Jo Cox was killed in the street outside her advice surgery on 16 June.

Politicians have been told to talk to local police forces about the security measures they have in place for meetings with the public.

West MPs pay tribute to Jo Cox who dies after shooting

MPs in the West Country are taking to social media to remember their friend, colleague and fellow Labour MP Jo Cox who died after being shot and stabbed.

Labour MP for Batley and Spen Ms Cox died at the age of 41 after being shot and stabbed near her advice surgery in Leeds. She leaves behind her husband and two daughters.

MPs from across the political spectrum have been paying tribute to former aid worker turned MP, Jo Cox who died at the age of 41.

Bristol Mayor, Marvin Rees has also joined the outpouring of support.
