A man who died after being Tasered by Wiltshire Police has today been named as 44-year-old Terrence Bennett.

Mr Bennett died at a property in Warminster early on 27 October. Officers had been called out after reports of concern for his welfare and that of others. They used a Taser on him and he was restrained. A knife was recovered from the scene.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) investigation will seek to establish the exact nature of contact between Mr Bennett and officers prior to his death.

IPCC investigators have met with Mr Bennett’s family.
