A 64 year old man received "nasty facial injuries" after an assault in a town in Wiltshire.

It happened on Sunday at around 7pm outside a property on Bath Road in Cricklade.

Police say there was an altercation between a 64-year-old man and a young man, believed to be in his teens.

The victim sustained an injury to his eye and was taken to hospital.

He was very shaken by the attack. I am appealing for the help of the community and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen what happened.
