The company behind plans to re-open the last working tin mine in Cornwall says it hopes to finish preliminary work by next spring.

South Crofty near Camborne closed in 1998. It was bought by the Canadian firm Strongbow in July.

Strongbow says an announcement about re-starting production will be made once tests are completed on the safe disposal of contaminated water.
