Bristol Rovers manager Darrell Clarke has said that he "lost no sleep" over Matty Taylor's Deadline Day transfer to local rivals Bristol City.
City signed Taylor, who scored 67 goals for Rovers, after triggering a release clause in his contract.
Clarke said that the transfer was "expected." He would have liked to seen a bidding war over the 26 year old, but confirmed there were only "one Championship club" interested in Taylor.
Various reports questioned how Bristol City came to know of Taylor's £300,000 release clause, a part of his contract which is not supposed to be public knowledge.
However, The Football League has told ITV News that they haven't launched a formal investigation into the transfer. This because no complaint has been made by Bristol Rovers in relation to the deal.
