Two people rescued from possible arson attack in Cornwall

Two people were rescued from a burning building in Liskeard, Cornwall this morning.

Fire crews from Liskeard, Callington, Bodmin, Lostwithiel and Looe are still attending to the incident, after initally responding to the call at 6.20am.

No fatalities have been recorded, but crews battled to protect salvageable property from the fire.

Special breathing equipment had to be used,, with support from St Austell, St Just and crews from Crownhill.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson and will be questioned by police.
