The Tour De Yorkshire 2016 - Live on ITV4
Broadcasts from 11.45am on Friday 29 April, with nightly highlights.
ITV4 will bring viewers live coverage of the second three-day Tour de Yorkshire, which begins on Friday 29 April in Beverley.
A host of top riders and professional teams including BMC, Team Sky and Orica Greenedge are expected to take part in the race, which was created after millions turned out to watch the opening stages of the Tour de France in Yorkshire in 2014.
Kicking off with a 186km stage to Settle, the Tour’s first leg will take in two sprints at Bubwith and Giggleswick, taking in Tadcaster, Knaresborough, Ripley and Pateley Bridge, where the first King of the Mountain will be won at Greenhow Hill. Then it’s on to Grassington, Gargrave and the finish, a 12-mile loop into Settle town centre.
The second stage starts in Otley, travelling 136km south past Conisborough Castle and on to Doncaster, and features the one-day women’s Tour De Yorkshire running in parallel to the men’s leg.
Finally, the racers tackle a 198km stage from Middlesborough, with the peloton travelling through Northallerton and Thirsk, Kirkbymoorside and Danby before the finale at the seaside in Scarborough.
Presenter Gary Imlach is joined by cycling legend Chris Boardman for coverage of the race, with Ned Boulting and former professional road cyclist David Millar in the commentary box.
