The Tour de Yorkshire 2015

Broadcasts from 2.30pm Friday 1 May 2015 with nightly highlights.

ITV4 will bring viewers live coverage of the inaugural three-day Tour de Yorkshire, which begins on Friday 1 May in Bridlington.

Kicking off with a 174km stage to Scarborough, the Tour’s first leg will take in beautiful coastal scenery and the North York Moors along the way, passing through the Dalby Forest, Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay.

A host of top riders and professional teams including BMC, Team Sky and Cofidis are expected to take part in the race, which was created after millions turned out to watch the opening stages of the Tour de France in Yorkshire in 2014.

The first stage is followed by a second of the same length, starting at Selby Abbey, going via Beverley and the Wolds and finishing with a circuit of historic York on Saturday. Finally, the race concludes with a 167km stage from Wakefield to Leeds, running through the Yorkshire Dales and finishing in Roundhay Park.

Presenter Gary Imlach is joined by cycling legend Chris Boardman for coverage of the race, with Ned Boulting and former professional road cyclist David Millar in the commentary box.
