Series overview
This new three-part factual consumer series features Phillip Schofield inviting celebrity guests, experts and members of the public to help him test the latest must-have festive buys.
Each programme aims to give an insider’s guide to what to buy for Christmas by testing, rating and reviewing the very latest products jostling for a place under the tree.
Guest testers include Jonathan Ross, Rosemary Schrager, Stacey Solomon along with Love Island’s Chris and Kem.
Over the course of the series, they will aim to help viewers decide how to spend their Christmas cash on items from toys and gifts, to gadgets and food, to drink and decorations.
Episode 1
Tonight, Phillip reveals the must-have toys for Christmas 2017, starting by tasking Jonathan Ross with examining the revival of nostalgic toys from Christmas’ past.
Stacey Solomon and her sons join other families to test the latest physical board games for Christmas day. Journalist and ‘toyologist’ Peter Jenkinson is on hand to give his predictions on this year’s best-selling Christmas toys, along with his top tips on how to get hold of them.
Chris and Kem try out some of the most popular children’s scooters. With 2,500 versions on the market they ask which one should be on Christmas lists. Additionally, the latest high tech toys are put to the test by six sets of twins to try to determine if their extra interactivity is worth the money.
Phillip also road tests some of the more unusual toys on offer this year, to try to determine if they make truly fabulous presents or just faddy gifts that won’t last beyond the cold turkey trimmings. Tonight it’s the turn of ‘Cozmo the Robot’, ‘Bubblelick’ and ‘Soundmoovz’.
