Keeping Up With The Aristocrats

Episode 3

In this final episode, Lord and Lady Fitzalan-Howard get the surprise of their lives when they bump into Prince Charles at the Great Yorkshire Show.  They’re window shopping for a new herd of cattle when Prince Charles stops to offer some words of advice - leaving the Fitzalan-Howards gobsmacked! Equally stunned is James when husband Lord Ivar Mountbatten reveals his surprise birthday present - a paramotoring flight over Bridwell. Dangling at 1,000 feet is not what James had in mind for his big day, especially when he watches Lord Ivar heading straight for an oak tree...

Also celebrating is Princess Olga Romanoff, who’s hosting her 70th birthday party at Provender House. Guests include fellow aristocrat Lady Colin Campbell, aka Lady C, and best friend Robert, who gives her an unexpected gift - a lawnmower. Princess Olga is then whisked off for a ‘date night of the dynasties’ when she’s introduced to William Guggenheim by the Fitzalan-Howards - will they hit it off?! Finally, there’s another huge shin-dig at Renishaw Hall where Alexandra Sitwell and husband Rick are toasting the end of extensive building works. They’ve hired in society party architect Johnny Roxburgh to curate the perfect celebration - and with all the aristocrats from the series invited, it’s definitely going to be a night to remember!

Series overview

Brand new three-part series.  In this light-hearted, endearing and eye-opening series, four of Britain’s most prominent aristocratic dynasties have given cameras exclusive access to reveal what really goes on behind their closed doors, over one summer’s social season.  Asset-rich, but often cash strapped, this posh bunch are mischievously self-deprecating and jolly. This fun and intriguing series lifts the lid on the lives of absolutely fabulous Lords, Ladies, and even the odd Princess, as they try to earn a crust.
