Episode 4

Save Money Lose Weight continues to reveal a wealth of money saving tips and tricks to help you lose weight and eat well without spending a fortune. Sian Williams and Dr Ranj Singh get to the bottom of what's money well spent.

This week, WW, the newly branded Weightwatchers diet is put to the £ for LB road test. On this plan, no food is off limits and is allocated points depending on the carbohydrate, protein and fat content. Dieters are then given a daily point limit depending on their weight. Will it work for 32 year old IT Manager Jas? And how will the diet stack up on our value for money leader board?

We also revisit Nick, a £ for LB road test dieter from 2017 to see if he carried on his weight loss journey after trialling the Lighterlife meal replacement diet. Has he carried on losing the weight or piled it back on?

Sian Williams is joined by dietician Linia Patel to see how low fat cheddar stacks up in term of calories, nutrition and taste. Can you enjoy tasty cheese without blowing your diet? And our road testers put a range of low calorie cheddars to the Save Money taste test.

Dr Ranj Singh investigates calorie counters. Can off the shelf scales and apps take the stress out of calorie counting by doing it all for us? Alongside nutritionist Ian Marber he puts some to the test.
