Ten years after they ruled pop, for one night only, six chart-topping groups will be reunited in an unmissable TV event.
The Big Reunion will follow their every step, as their worlds are turned upside down after years away from the spotlight. During the series, viewers will see the groups reunited for the first time since they split.  For some it’s the chance to relive their dream, for others it may open old wounds as they prepare to face demons they thought they had buried forever.
At their peak, these acts dominated UK pop over a 10-year period from the mid nineties, selling millions of singles, albums and achieving multiple number 1’s.  Now they will come together for the first time in a decade, to put on the show of their lives.
The cameras will capture the highs and lows, tears and tantrums as each of the bands hope they can once again discover the magic that helped them adorn magazine covers, sell out multiple arena tours and top the charts back in their heyday.
The Big Reunion, made by ITV Studios, will delve into the lives of these former pop heroes, exploring what happened after they slipped out of the charts. Some have remained in the celebrity spotlight, whilst others left their showbiz lives behind to pursue new careers as diverse as a stilt walker, a midwife, a teacher, a farmer and a photographer.
Each band will have just two weeks of intense rehearsals before they step back onto the stage to perform once again in front of thousands of fans.
Tonight, hearthrob poster boys 911 and Irish beauties B*Witched step back in a room together for the first time in a decade!
In a no holds barred reunion, 911’s Lee, Jimmy and Spike bear all, reminiscing about their womanizing antics, as well as sharing their darkest secrets.
The conversation gets very serious when Jimmy admits he turned to drink towards the end of the band, when he could no longer live up to their squeaky clean on-stage image. But that was not the worst of it.
Spike is horrified to hear for the first time, about Jimmy’s descent into alcoholism and drug taking, after the band split. Jimmy came close to ending it all in a haze of drugs and drink and he admits his downfall was because he could not cope with life after 911. Spike can barely comprehend or accept what Jimmy became and that he was not there for him. Spike and Lee also open up about their inability to live in a world without the 911 bubble.
With the lines of communication finally prised open, will 911 be able to move on from this opening up of old wounds and come together as a real unit with rehearsals just around the corner?
For B*witched the floodgates open at their reunion where painful truths are exposed, emotions run high and threatens to split the band before rehearsals even start.
Years of resentment and anger have brewed up and Edele takes the hardest knocks as for the first time Lindsay, Sinead and even Keavy find their voices and air their grievances from the band days. Edele has her say too, attempting to explain her own position as lead singer and leader of the band. Afterwards the air is not clearer, but dense with anguish as Edele teeters on the brink of leaving her B*witched days behind her forever. Will they find a way forward? Or is it all over for the former pop princesses?
We also join Five on Ritchie’s last night in town, before heading back to Oz, as they hit the bars of Soho for the first pub crawl for a 10years. The big question mark still hanging over the band is who and how are they going to replace J?
Finally we catch up with Michelle Heaton, after her operation, as she starts her recovery with help from her mum. Michelle is determined, but her mum is not convinced that she will be fit in time for rehearsals.
With pressure mounting, doubts, fears and trepidation hang over the bands as they tentatively move ever closer to the first day of rehearsals for the gig of their lives.
