Bear Grylls takes Warwick Davis on wild mission for ITV

Bear Grylls will spend two days in the wild with actor and presenter Warwick Davis for an ITV special programme, Bear’s Mission with Warwick Davis.

In this special one off programme, the actor and presenter Warwick Davis, who has starred in hit films including the Star Wars and Harry Potter series, steps off the beaten track to join Bear on a journey through some of the wildest corners of the Lake District.

Warwick, who also appears in Solo: A Star Wars Story, will have to take on all his own stunts as Bear leads him over a series of wilderness obstacles, as dramatic as any action movie.

With the beautiful backdrop of the Lakes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the pair tackle deep gorges and sheer cliffs head-on. And as always on Bear’s Mission With…Bear has some surprises in store for Warwick, a self-confessed fussy eater, who will have to endure some rather unusual protein-rich snacks.

This programme follows on from two other specials; Bear’s Mission with Anthony Joshua and Bear’s Mission with Rob Brydon.

Bear Grylls says: “This journey was such a special one for me. Warwick smashed through so many of the stereotypes of who can adventure and what people can do! He is an inspiration to so many and I am so proud of what he achieved on this journey.”

David Harrison, Executive Producer for betty, added: “It was a real privilege to see Bear and Warwick bond during this epic journey. Warwick is a thrill-seeking adventurer at heart and threw himself, quite literally, into everything Bear had planned – always with a laugh, a whimper, or a full-on scream.”

This 1 x 60 show is commissioned by Amanda Stavri, ITV Commissioning Editor, Factual Entertainment. It is a Bear Grylls Ventures/Electus/betty production for ITV. Electus International is distributing the programme internationally. The programme continues the Mission brand following on from two series of Bear Grylls: Mission Survive for ITV. The executive producer is David Harrison and the director is Nick O’Meally.
