ITV commissions £10K Holiday Homes

The average British family spends £5,000 a year on holidays so could you buy a dream holiday home in your favourite foreign destination for just double that cost? That is the challenge that Julia Bradbury is taking on in betty's new series for ITV.

Julia's inspiration comes from the ingenious owners who have bought properties overseas and in the UK for under £10k and renovated them with stunning results.
From exquisite stone cottages to a cave which was purchased for one Euro, to Italian mountain retreats.

In the UK, designer Max McMurdo will find extraordinary holiday builds for under £5k, from motorhomes and boats to fabulous dens, as he attempt to build his own for £5k.

£10k Holiday Home [6x30] was commissioned by ITV’s commissioning editor, factual entertainment, Kate Teckman and Sue Murphy, Head of Factual Entertainment. It is executive produced by Sarah Eglin for betty.

Kate Teckman said:

"I am delighted to have commissioned Neil and his team at betty to make £10k Holiday Home, a little slice of sunshine and attainable luxury for the ITV schedule."

Neil Smith, joint managing director, betty, said:

“There are some incredible stories of people achieving their dreams on tiny budgets and we are delighted to be showcasing them with ITV while Julia Bradbury shows just how it’s done.”
