John Torode MBE and Lisa Faulkner return this Autumn for series nine of John & Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen 

Chef John Torode MBE and home cook Lisa Faulkner will be back on ITV1 and ITVX this autumn for series nine of John & Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen - and the duo are on cloud nine this time round with the added bonus of a brand new book to accompany the series.

Following the success of series eight and their new Australian adventure series earlier this year, ITV have commissioned a further 10 episodes of John & Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen fronted by the hugely popular culinary couple. 

Produced by ITV Studios Daytime, the new series will see the perfect partnership serve up a mix of delicious, exciting and original family-favourite dishes that encompass time-saving and cost effective hacks that viewers are familiar with.

The ten-part series - set to return Saturday mornings - will deliver mouth-watering themes including ‘Top Traybakes’, ‘Time Saving Treats’, ‘Simple But Special’ and ‘Fakeaway-tastic Feasts’. Whilst other new themes such as ‘Take 5’ will show an array of dishes using just five key ingredients, ‘Breezy Brunches’ for leisurely weekends, ‘In a Spin’ will provide a new take on some classic traditional meals, ‘Flour Power’ explores delicious and imaginative uses for this store cupboard staple (including gluten-free versions), and a mix of ‘Weekend Warmers’ and ‘Decadent Dishes’ will provide the ultimate comforting and guilt-free dishes for the autumnal months ahead.

John Torode said:
