ITV Studios closes out 2024 with a raft of deals for its diverse non-scripted slate

 ITV Studios has announced a raft of international sales of its non-scripted slate during The World Congress of Science & Factual Producers (WCSFP).  

The wide range of world class titles showcases the breadth and diversity of the ITV Studios non-scripted content catalogue from stunning natural history series to historical documentaries and chilling true crime stories.

My Wife, My Abuser: Captured on Camera, has sold to more than 60 markets as well as in a global deal with Netflix where it was ranked in the Top 10 in the UK for three weeks. The two-part series produced by Atticus Film & TV for Channel 5 UK, tells the harrowing story of Richard Spencer’s seemingly perfect life with wife Sheree Spencer, a violent abuser who left him living in fear for twenty years. It has sold to 9 Network in Australia, TVNZ in New Zealand, T-Cast in South Korea, Bell Media in Canada, DPG Media in Belgium, TV2 in Denmark, MTV in Finland, TV4 in Sweden, TV2 in Norway, Viasat in Eastern Europe and 25 Middle East territories via OSN.

Sales have also been secured for the modern true crime series: TikTok: Murders Gone Viral. The three-part series produced by Nine Lives Media for ITV, details three chilling murder cases that went viral on the world’s fastest-growing social media app. It has sold to over 60 countries including The Seven Network in Australia, Bell Media in Canada, DPG Media in Belgium, TVNZ in New Zealand, Skai in Greece, Viasat in Eastern Europe, Virgin Media in Ireland, FTV Prima in Czech Republic and OSN in the Middle East.

Predator v Prey, the six-part wildlife series for National Geographic International, produced by Bristol-based True To Nature, in association with ITV Studios follows the fortunes of some of the world’s most formidable apex predators, including leopards, grey wolves and crocodiles. Combining premium specialist archive footage and innovative new VFX techniques the series reveals brand new perspectives and insights into the animal kingdom’s most prolific and iconic hunters in action. The series has been acquired by Bilibili, iQIYI and Tencent in China, ARTE in France, Servus TV in Germany, EBS in Korea and  Skai in Greece.

Pompeii: The Last Mysteries Revealed, two-part series produced by Pernel Media for France Télévisions (FR) exploring Pompeii, the ruins of which have fascinated the world since their discovery in the 18th century. A third of this perfectly preserved ancient Roman city has remained totally unexplored, until now. With exclusive access, this film follows archaeologists as they journey back in time excavating at Insula Occidentalis, a favourite holiday resort of the city’s aristocracy. A place where majestic villas once enjoyed breathtaking views of Mount Vesuvius and the many secrets of the opulent lifestyles of Pompeii’s wealthiest citizens will be revealed. The series been acquired by SBS Australia and subsequently by Foxel in Australia and New Zealand, TV5 Quebec in Canada, Belgium, Ceska TV in Czech Republic, CANAL+ Polska in Poland, PCCW Media in Hong Kong and Sang Saeng in Korea.

On Thin Ice: Putin’s War on Greenpeace, a six-part series produced by Curve Media for BBC, telling the powerful real life story of how Greenpeace, with a little help from their friends (and a Beatle), managed to triumph over an unpredictable dictator and a ruthless superpower in their battle to save our planet. Weaving together never-before-seen footage and exclusive testimony from the ‘Arctic 30’ – the Greenpeace activists who unwittingly put their lives on the line when they got in the way of Putin’s war-mongering plans, the series explores this incredible David vs. Goliath story and its significance in today’s geo-politics. International sales include VRT NV in Belgium, CBC in Canada, TVNZ in New Zealand, Histoire in France and ERR in Estonia.
