S4 Ep4 - Love You Dead:



When a former Brighton offender is found dead in gruesome circumstances, his wife claims that he had turned over a new leaf, but all the evidence points to the fact he may still have been up to his old tricks. As Grace and the team work to unravel what exactly killed him, Roy receives a call from a police contact in New York about two crimes in France which bear the hallmarks of a US mafia hit. The police are keen to trace a woman who they believe has fled to Brighton and could be in serious danger. Roy and the team must now juggle two cases and scour the city to help find her, but it becomes apparent they aren’t the only ones looking when a deadly former adversary appears on the scene. When a death in a neighbouring county then provides the missing puzzle piece, Roy now realises there is a dangerous killer in Brighton, with a particularly interesting MO. He must set a cunning trap before his offender disappears but is Grace prepared to put the life of one of his own team at risk?

S4 Ep3 - You Are Dead:



Grace and Branson are thrown into what is possibly their most disturbing and high-profile case yet, when workmen digging up a path by Hove Lagoon unearth a dark secret that was meant to stay buried for good. Meanwhile, across the city, what appears to be an isolated missing persons incident, soon becomes an investigation bigger than Grace could ever have imagined, when a barely visible yet chilling detail linking the Lagoon discovery and the missing person case reveals that this is an investigation spanning back years and the perpetrator is only just getting started again. As the victim count increases and a wave of growing unease spreads through the city of Brighton as to when and where the perpetrator will strike next, Grace and his team face a pressure like never before as they desperately hunt a sinister and supremely intelligent serial offender, who has evaded justice for far too long, in a race to save an innocent life.

S4 Ep2 - Want You Dead

Grace’s team investigates a case where nothing is ever as it first appears. When an unidentified murder victim is found left out in the open Sussex countryside in curious circumstances, the post-mortem reveals more questions than it does answers. As Grace works to identify the body, hoping this might provide some crucial clue as to the killer’s motive, a chilling discovery in central Brighton suggests something more is at play here. Both crime scenes are puzzling and elaborate – designed to send a deliberate message. It seems that whoever is doing this wants the police to know these deaths are connected, but why? As Grace untangles a challenging trail of clues to discover what links each victim to the killer, it becomes apparent the motive is both deeply personal and meticulously planned. Can Roy outsmart the brazen killer orchestrating this elaborate quest for vengeance before another innocent life is lost?

S4 Ep1 - Dead Man’s Time:

A brutal robbery at a secluded Brighton house pulls Grace and Branson into a challenging enquiry when thousands of pounds worth of beautiful antiques are stolen and the owner is left fighting for her life. The prime target, however, appears to have been an item of great sentimental value to the homeowner and her brother, a renowned antiques dealer. This particular item has deep emotional ties to a fascinating mystery involving their father which spans back to 1960s East London and a painful night on which their life as they knew it changed forever. The question is – who knew it was in the house? As Grace digs deeper into this mysterious crime, he unearths a web of ancient grudges. A web which leads him down a murderous trail through the world of Brighton antiques in a race against time to discover who is at the heart of this robbery, recover what was taken and bring to light answers which have been buried for many years.

Perseus reaches its climax as Kieran prepares to catch Shakiel with a carload of automatic weapons. However, Spencer’s killer Jermaine King has escaped from custody and kidnapped Ryan’s sister Tia. Sarah has to free Tia and re-arrest King before he disrupts Perseus. The operation succeeds: Shakiel is arrested. Then a completely unexpected disruption occurs: Ryan sees Steve shaking hands with police officers. Suddenly there are two hostage situations: Kieran and Lizzie at Steve’s flat where a furious Ryan holds Steve at gunpoint, and Sarah trying to rescue Tia from the desperate King. The scene is set for a breathtaking finale.

The death of working girl Lexi, murdered by Shakiel in revenge for Spencer’s stabbing, sends shock waves through Sarah’s investigation and Operation Perseus. Kieran, already under pressure because wife Mary has thrown him out of their home, faces an angry Lizzie, demanding he share information about Lexi with Sarah. But Kieran is adamant: sharing information would not only alert Shakiel Oliver to the existence of Operation Perseus, it would endanger Steve’s life. The pressure on Kieran is about to get worse: his wife contacts Sarah and says she has information about the Portland Tower case.

Armed with an ID for Spencer’s killer, Lizzie persuades Kieran to open up Operation Perseus to Sarah so she can make the arrest. Even with Lizzie acting as peace-maker it’s clear that Sarah and Kieran loath one another. After testing Steve’s cover at gun-point, Shakiel invites him to become his number 2. Kieran and Steve realise that Shakiel is about to make the move that will give him control of South London.; they, however, will be in the right place to stop him. But Shakiel always has a card up his sleeve and this time it’s Ryan Kennedy.

Nearly two years since we last saw Sarah Collins, we catch up with her as she is called to the brutal stabbing of a teenager. Her investigation soon finds itself at cross purposes with a covert operation led by Kieran Shaw, who is working with Sarah’s old partner, Steve Bradshaw, now deep undercover. Lizzie Adama meanwhile, is back at Farlow trying to balance her new role as a Detective with a family life. Her path and Kieran’s are about to cross.
