Shiver To Give ITV Daytime The Star Treatment

Shiver To Give ITV Daytime The Star Treatment
New series presented by Jane McDonald to launch this summer
Shiver, the factual division of ITV Studios UK, has been commissioned by ITV Daytime to produce Star Treatment (15 x 60 minutes), a new workplace makeover series presented by Loose Women’s Jane McDonald. The series will transmit this summer.
Star Treatment sees Jane McDonald and a style team visiting workplaces around the UK, from offices and factories to clubs and institutions. They will give the star treatment to teams that have been nominated by their bosses to thank them for their hard work and positive attitude.
The lucky workers will be treated to a full makeover from Star Treatment’s resident stylist and hair and make-up artist, while the boss works with a top chef to prepare a surprise gourmet meal for them. By the end of the day, the transformation from work star to superstar is complete, and the team walk the catwalk to the applause of their colleagues, family and friends before sitting down to a meal to remember!
Andrew Nicholson, Executive Producer, Shiver, said: “Jane McDonald brings her unique brand of Northern warmth to Star Treatment, which gives Britain’s bosses the chance to reward their most deserving workplace stars with a luxurious makeover and lavish meal. Packed full of astonishing transformations, great food and heart-warming stories, we hope the show will be enjoyed by viewers around the country.”
Diana Howie, Commissioning Editor, ITV said: “We’re delighted that Jane McDonald will be bringing her own special magic to the world of work in this delightful new format.”
Jane McDonald added: “I'm having the time of my life travelling around Britain finding the unsung heroes of the workplace. To see the look on their faces at the end of the "Star Treatment" makes me know it's all worth it.”
Star Treatment was commissioned by Diana Howie for ITV Daytime. It is series produced by Julie Bradshaw and executive produced by Andrew Nicholson for Shiver. The format will be distributed internationally by ITV Studios Global Entertainment.
ITV Studios’ factual slate is now produced under the Shiver label, following the consolidation of ITV Studios factual content led by Shiver Director, Alexander Gardiner. Recent commissions include Robson Green's Northumberland, The Nation's Favourite Elvis Song and Peter Andre's 60 Minute Makeover.
