Italy's Mauro Bergamasco reaches World Cup milestone

Mauro Bergamasco has hailed brother Mirco for helping him become just the second player to play in five Rugby World Cup tournaments - despite his sibling missing the 2015 tournament.

Veteran Italy flanker Bergamasco joins former Samoa centre Brian Lima in reaching a fifth World Cup competition, the 36-year-old appearing at every tournament since 1999.

Enrico Baccin to replace injured Morisi for Italy

Bennetton Trevison centre, Enrico Baccin, has been called up to Italy's 31-man squad to replace injured Luca Morisi.

The 22-year-old has played three times for the Azzurri making his debut in the 22-19 victory over Scotland in last year's Six Nations.

Italy centre Luca Morisi ruled out of World Cup

News that Italian centre Luca Morisi has been ruled out of the World Cup will come as a blow to fans after it was revealed yesterday that captain Sergio Parisse's fitness is in doubt.

The 24-year-old Benetton Treviso player suffered a torn ligament in his right knee following the third and final warm up test for the Azzuri against Wales in Cardiff on Saturday.
