Incredibly, Gloucester’s home ground hosted its first test match in 1900. It was then 91 years before international rugby graced Kingsholm again, as a venue for the 1991 Rugby World Cup.
Gloucester’s crowd are known as the Aviva Premiership nosiest and are sure to bring some much-needed atmosphere for Georgia and Japan’s games. The locals love their rugby and will be sure to fill out Kingsholm for the early rounds of Pools B and C.
