JUDGE RINDER: APPLICATION TRAIL LINE TERMS &CONDITIONS
You may contact the Judge Rinder programme as shown on ITV and/or ITV2 (the “programme”), by dialling thePRTS number, by sending an SMS text message to the shortcode, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org orby visiting www.itv.com/beontv and following the instructions (the “trail line”).
To be eligible to contact the trail line you must be aged 18 or over. In addition, you must have your main place of residence in the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands or theIsle of Man and you must not be employed, or have previously been employed or engaged, by ITV, and you may not be an immediate relative (i.e. mother, father,son, daughter, brother or sister) of an employee of ITV. ITV will not consider any claims that have been considered by or are currently at court. You must meet all other eligibility requirements as specified by the programme producer.
By contacting the trail line, you warrant that you are eligible to do so, that the information you provide is neither false nor misleading in any way, and you agree to be contacted by ITV, at ITV’s discretion. If selected to participate in the programme, you agree to enter into our standard participant agreement and be available to us for you to come to the studio and appear on the programme on the agreed date and time. You will be required to bring proof of age and identity.
Information which is deemed defamatory, obscene, unlawful, harmful, offensive or inappropriate or which may have the effect of being harassing, threatening, abusive or hateful or which otherwise degrades or intimidates an individual or group of individuals on the basis of religion, gender, sexual orientation, race,ethnicity, age or disability, or which is incomprehensible, false, misleading or not received is void and will not be considered.
You may contact the trail line as many times as you like and the trail line can be reached from anywhere in the United Kingdom, Channel Islands and Isle of Man.
Claims that have been in court or are currently in court cannot be considered.
2/. Trail Line
You may contact the trail line by dialling the PRTS number 09011 22 33 44, as stated in the programme, where you will hear a recorded message asking you to leave your full name and contact telephone number (lasting no longer than 18 seconds) and a brief message (lasting no longer than 25 seconds), stating why you would like to be in the programme. Please dial carefully and speak clearly and audibly when leaving your message and your details. The recorded message and the time available for you to leave your message, including stating why you would like to be in the programme, should last no longer than 43 seconds.
You may also contact the trail line by sending an SMS text message to 63334 with the keyword ‘JUDGE’ along with your full name.
Alternatively you may contact the trail line by emailing email@example.com or visiting the website at: www.itv.com/beontv and follow the instructions given there.
The trail line opens for applications by SMS or email and online via the www.itv.com/beontv website at 1.00 pm on Monday 25 August 2014 and via PRTS at 09.25 a.m. on Monday 6October 2014 and closes for applications at 12.00 p.m. on Friday 24 April 2020.
ITV and/or the producer of the programme may at their sole discretion call back an eligible applicant from the pool of applicants who have contacted the trail line with a view to participating in any future episode of the programme. ITV does not guarantee that all applicants will be contacted, nor does ITV represent, undertake or warrant that it will broadcast any future episode of the programme which may o rmay not include an applicant’s participation.
In the event that an applicant is contacted by ITV and/or the producer of the programme, and in the event that an applicant participates in the programme, the ruling of Judge Rinder in deciding the outcome of the applicant’s claim will be final.
You are required to comply with any directions given to you by ITV including but not limited to any and all relevant laws, rules and regulations, and where applicable, compliance with the Ofcom Broadcasting Code. In the event that you do not, or are unable to, comply with these terms and conditions and/or other applicable rules and procedures, ITV shall be entitled at its sole discretion to disqualify you, without any further liability to you.
Each PRTS phone call to the trail line 09011 22 33 44 costs 25p (twenty-five pence) plus your network access charge. The total cost will be dependent on your network.
Each SMS text message to 63334 costs 25p (twenty-five pence) plus one standard network rate message.
Please ask permission from the bill payer before dialling the PRTS number or sending an SMS text message. There will be no refunds for the cost of any calls made, or for any misdialled calls, or for text messages not received, or where the keyword is misspelt or otherwise incorrect.
There is no charge when applying by email or via the website, but your internet service provider’s fees may apply when accessing the internet.
4/. Use of the service
ITV, the producers of the programme and their sub-contractors do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any telephone network or line, system, server, software provider or otherwise which may result in any messages not being properly received, heard or recorded.
ITV cannot promise that the system and/or service will be free from errors or omissions nor that it will be available uninterrupted and in a fully operating condition. The system and/or service may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons beyond the reasonable control of ITV. ITV will not be liable to you or to any other person in the event that all or any part of the phone line, system and/or service is discontinued, modified or changed in any way.
Nothing in these terms and conditions restricts your statutory rights as a consumer. For more details on your statutory rights you should contact your local Trading Standards Office or Citizen's Advice Bureau.
If you have a query or complaint, you may register it with ITV Viewer Services who can be contacted by phone on 0344 88 14150, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. You will need to give the following information:
a) Your Name
b) The telephone number of the phone you dialled or sent an SMS text from
c) Your email address
d) The IP number of your computer and your internet service provider, where relevant
e) If possible, your telephone network operator
f) The date(s) and time(s) when you experienced problems
g) The nature of your query or the problem you experienced
h) A contact telephone number where you can be reached if necessary
