2021 - This Morning's 'Spin to Win +' FAQ's

This Morning’s Spin to Win+

FAQ

1. WHAT IS SPIN TO WIN+

What is Spin to Win+?

Spin to Win+ is a free competition that we run on This Morning where viewers can enter online for a chance to spin the wheel or tombola and win a prize.

What kind of prizes are up for grabs?

There are twelve cheeses on the wheel and twenty-four balls in the tombola, each labelled with their own prize. These are usually cash amounts, ranging from £750 to £3000, but are subject to change at any point, and can include e.g. holiday vouchers.

Do the wheel and tombola have different prizes?

No. The prizes on the wheel and in the tombola are proportional to each other, and you have an equal chance to win with each. So if there is e.g. 1x £3000 prize on the wheel, there will be 2x £3000 balls in the tombola, to give you the same 1 in 12 chance of winning that prize.

When is Spin to Win+ on?

Spin to Win+ runs daily from Monday to Friday on This Morning, coinciding with school term time, and will usually take a break over half-terms and the Summer and Christmas holidays.

Who spins the wheel or tombola?

One of the presenters of the day on the show will spin the wheel or tombola for you.

What time is it on?

Spin to Win could run any time on the show between 10am and 12:30pm.

Is the game live?

Yes, it is always played live unless stated otherwise.

Can I enter using my landline?

No, you must use a valid UK mobile number.

How much will it cost me to enter Spin to Win+?

Nothing! It’s free to enter. (Data charges may apply. Please check your internet service.)

How many times can I enter?

You are allowed one entry per phone number per draw of Spin to Win+.

What does it mean if I’m getting a message saying ‘Exceeded Limit’?

It means you have already entered that day’s Spin to Win+, and will be able to enter again when entries open for the next competition.

What time do entries open and close for Spin to Win+?

Entries open at 12:15pm each day for the following day’s game of Spin to Win+. Except for a Monday’s game, which opens the previous Friday. All entries close at 9.30am the morning that the game will be played.

Why can’t I see a live entry page for Spin to Win+?

You won’t be able to enter a Spin to Win+ game between 9.30am and 12:15pm on Monday to Friday because there won’t be a live entry page to enter. 3. HOW TO PLAY SPIN TO WIN+

How do I play Spin to Win+?

Our presenters will call the list of potential winners live on-air and if your phone rings, you must answer it and say the Spin to Win+ passphrase of the day.

Where can I find the passphrase?

The passphrase will be written on the Spin to Win+ entry page. You can access this from 12:15pm the day before the game is played, until 9.30am the next day.

What happens if I don’t answer the phone?

We hang up after a certain number of rings or when the phone goes to answerphone, and we move onto the next name on the list.

What happens if I answer by saying “Hello”?

We may, at our sole discretion, hang up and move on to the next name on the list.

What happens if I give the wrong passphrase?

We may, at our sole discretion, hang up and move on to the next name on the list.

What happens if I can’t remember the passphrase?

We may, at our sole discretion, hang up and move on to the next name on the list. You must answer the phone and say the passphrase of the day.

NOTE: It might be handy to write the passphrase down on your phone or a piece of paper, as the phrase will disappear after entries close, and you’ll want it to hand in case your phone rings. But don’t forget, it’s a different passphrase each day.

Can I watch myself on TV while I play?

Yes, you can, but you must watch it on mute as there’ll be a delay between what the presenters say to you down the phone and what you hear on screen. Please listen to the presenters down the phone only.

If I hear my phone ring when they start playing Spin to Win+, what shall I do?

Answer your phone and say the Spin to Win+ passphrase of the day, and turn your TV down immediately.

Do I need to be watching the show to play?

No, but you may be asked a question about something that has appeared on the show that day in order to win a bonus prize!

If I do win, what happens next?

You will receive a call from someone at ITV very soon after you have won to verify you as a winner and confirm your prize and explain what comes next.

Could I win more than one Spin to Win+?

Absolutely. You just need to enter the game you want to have a chance of winning.
