DANCING ON ICE 2023 VOTE (FINAL): VOTING INTERACTION INFORMATION

Voting method and cost:

Viewers in the UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands may vote for which contestant(s) they wish to keep in the competition as specified in the Dancing on Ice 2023 programme (the “Programme”) by one of the following methods:

Mobile short dial codes (“MSDC”) (also known as voice short code): UK mobile users dial the 7-digit number which is the MSDC for the chosen contestant(s) as displayed in the Programme and listen to the recorded message which confirms the MSDC vote. Each vote via a UK mobile to a MSDC costs 35 pence. MSDC voting is only available from a mobile phone. It is not possible to vote by calling the MSDCs from a landline or via any other method. Call charges may apply if the number is mis-dialled but is a valid number. The Promoter gives no warranty that the MSDC service will be available, legal or appropriate for use in locations outside the UK.

Online: go to www.itv.com/vote or www.stv.tv/vote (the “website”) and follow the instructions there. You will be required to register on the website before being able to vote. You can find more information about how to register here. Up to a maximum of five (5) votes per registered mobile number. There is no charge when voting via the website, although internet service provider’s fees may apply when you access the internet. Each voting window will close as indicated in the Programme. Any votes unused by the end of each voting window will be lost and cannot be claimed for use in the next voting window. More information about online voting is available here.

The Promoter is unable to confirm the integrity of and is not responsible for any vote services promoted outside the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man or for any unofficial voting methods as these are not within their control. Votes must not be sent in through agents or on behalf of another person, and viewers cannot submit votes as an agent of any other person. The Promoter and the Programme producers reserve the right to discount votes if they have reasonable grounds to suspect they have been made from outside the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland, from unofficial third party voting services or otherwise in breach of any applicable terms and conditions.

If for any reason there is a discrepancy between the numbers advertised on air and those given on any other platforms, then the numbers on air will prevail and the vote shall proceed on that basis.

Please note it is not possible to vote via any method not stated in these terms and conditions.

Opening/closing times:

Vote lines are opened and closed as specified in the Programme.

Voting restrictions:

Viewers voting on the website are limited to five (5) votes per registered mobile number per voting window. Viewers voting via MSDC may vote as many times as you like, the Promoter believes that any votes for one contestant, which are received from any one recognised number in excess of six hundred (600) votes when voting during the any stage of the Programme, are deemed to be designed to excessively manipulate the outcome of the vote and are unfair to other users and other contestants. Therefore, if you vote for one contestant more than six hundred (600) times during any stage of the Programme, the Promoter and the Programme producers reserve the right to disqualify any votes made above that number, having regard to all the circumstances and information available at the relevant time. The Promoter and/or the Programme producers may in their sole discretion contact voters who have voted in excess of the permitted levels.

Vote scoring system:

During the final, the results are based entirely on the public vote. The judges may score certain performances during the final but this will not contribute to the results and/or outcome of the final, unless the decision must be determined by way of the contingencies set out below.

Voting results:

The outcome of the vote will be shown in the Programme.

Voting will be as follows (at the discretion of the Programme’s producers):

The vote will open at the beginning of the final;

All remaining couples will perform in the final and some of these performances may be scored by the judges but these scores will not contribute to the results of the final;

After all the couples have performed, the vote will be frozen and the act with the lowest number of votes at the time of the vote freeze will be eliminated from the competition;

The vote will then be reopened and all votes received by acts going through to the next stage of voting prior to the lines being frozen will be carried forward;

The remaining couples will perform again and after all couples have performed, the vote will close and the couple with the most votes will be declared the winner.

The elimination format, and any specific terms will be announced in the applicable on-air interaction information before voting opens.

Please note that the Programme producers reserve the right to alter the vote scoring system or results mechanism (any such alteration will be announced in the applicable on-air interaction information). The system and/or format as announced in the Programme will prevail.

Contingencies:

If any of the contestant(s) and or professional skater(s) are unable to perform or are prevented from performing fully in the Programme for any reason including without limitation injury or medical reasons, then, at the Producer’s discretion, that couple shall be removed from the competition, or their rehearsal performance(s) may be played instead.

At the point of vote freeze during the final:

if there is a tied number of public votes the result will be determined by aggregating the total verified votes for each remaining couple across Dancing on Ice 2023 made prior to the final. Only votes in shows where all remaining couples performed will be counted. The couple with the least votes will be eliminated;

if the outcome cannot be reasonably determined because of a technical failure or for any other reasons beyond the Programme producer’s or ITV’s reasonable control, the Programme producers may in their sole discretion decide either to proceed with the vote, cancel the vote or delay the results of the vote; and/or

if the result cannot be reasonably determined because of a technical failure or other circumstances beyond the producers’ or Promoter’s reasonable control and the vote is cancelled the result will be determined by aggregating the total verified votes for each remaining couple across Dancing on Ice 2023 prior to the final, plus judges scores on the night of the final. The couple with the least votes will be eliminated. If, following this process, the result is tied, the viewer votes will take precedence and the couple with the least votes will be eliminated.

At the point of vote close during the final:

if there is a tied number of public votes the tied couples with be declared joint winners;

or if the result cannot be reasonably determined because of a technical failure or other circumstances beyond the producers’ or Promoter’s reasonable control and the vote is cancelled the result will be determined by the verified votes made until the vote freeze during the final. The couple with the most votes will be declared the winner. If this results in a tied number of votes, the judges scores for the final will decide which couple shall be declared the winner.
