I’M A CELEBRITY… GET ME OUT OF HERE! 2023 VOTE: VOTING INTERACTION INFORMATION
Voting method and cost:
Viewers in the UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands may vote for which celebrity/celebrities they wish to keep in the competition and/or undertake the ‘Trial’ (or equivalent activity as indicated from time to time) as specified in the ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2023’ (the “Programme”) by one of the following methods (except that voting in respect of the Trial (or equivalent activity) is via the App only as described below):
Phone (“PRTS”): Dial the premium rate ‘09’ numbers of your chosen celebrity/celebrities as stated in the Programme and follow instructions. You will hear a short message thanking you for your vote. Each phone vote costs 50 pence plus your network access charge. The total cost will be dependent on your network operator. Viewers can find out more information about the amount that their mobile operator will charge them by visiting http://www.accesscharge.uk/; but the Promoter and producers of the Programme recommend that for the most up to date charges viewers enquire directly with their mobile network operator.
Mobile short dial codes (“MSDC”) (also known as voice short code): UK mobile users dial the 7-digit number which is the MSDC for the chosen celebrity/celebrities as displayed in the Programme and listen to the recorded message which confirms the MSDC vote. Each vote via a UK mobile to a MSDC costs 50 pence. MSDC voting is only available from a mobile phone. It is not possible to vote by calling the MSDCs from a landline or via any other method. Call charges may apply if the number is mis-dialed but is a valid number. The Promoter gives no warranty that the MSDC service will be available, legal or appropriate for use in locations outside the UK.
Mobile In App: users of Apple mobile devices with iOS for iPhones, iPod Touch, iPads or iPad minis and users of mobile devices with Android may download the latest version of the official I’m a Celebrity app from the relevant app store (iTunes store or the Google Play store) (the “App”). Users will be redirected to www.itv.com/vote (the “website”) and should follow the instructions to cast their vote for each voting event. Users will be required to register on the website before being able to vote. More information about how to register can be found here. Download of the App is free although data charges from the user’s network operator may apply as well as internet service provider’s fees when users access the internet. Each voting window will open and close as indicated in the Programme, in the App and/or in any other ITV programme(s) as applicable. If the vote is frozen the period before the freeze and the period after the freeze will be treated as two (2) voting windows. Any votes unused by the end of each voting window will be lost and cannot be claimed for use in the next voting window. More information about online voting is available here.
15p from each paid vote will go to the ITV’s Britain Get Talking charity partners and will be split between registered charities as follows: Campaign Against Living Miserably, MIND (The National Association for Mental Health) and YoungMinds Trust (30% each) and Scottish Association for Mental Health (10%).
If there are technical or other issues with the votes, the Promoter reserves the right to discount the votes (as applicable) and announce the result of the vote without including those affected votes.
The Promoter is unable to confirm the integrity of and is not responsible for any vote services promoted outside the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man or for any unofficial voting methods as these are not within their control. Votes must not be sent in through agents or on behalf of another person, and viewers cannot submit votes as an agent of any other person. The Promoter and the Programme’s producers reserve the right to discount votes if they have reasonable grounds to suspect they have been made from outside the UK, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man from unofficial third party voting services or otherwise in breach of any applicable terms and conditions.
Please note that the Promoter and the Programme’s producers are unable to confirm the integrity of any other voting method except for the official voting system and numbers promoted and displayed within the Programme. The Promoter and the Programme’s producers reserve the right to discount votes from third party voting services where applicable.
If for any reason there is a discrepancy between the numbers advertised on air and those given on any other platforms, then the numbers on air will prevail and the vote shall proceed on that basis.
Please note it is not possible to vote via any method not stated in these terms and conditions.
The relevant bill payer’s permission must be sought before voting.
Opening/closing times:
Vote lines are opened and closed as specified in the Programme and/or in any other ITV programme(s) (as applicable).
Voting freezes:
ITV or the producers of the Programme reserve the right to conduct a vote freeze or freezes at any time. In the event of a vote freeze the lines for the first part of the vote will be open for a limited period only and the viewers will be informed on air that voting lines have been frozen. The results of the public vote at the time of lines being frozen will be announced and the specific number of celebrities with the least public votes will be eliminated from the competition. An on-air announcement will be given to inform viewers that voting lines have re-opened and the public can vote for the remaining celebrities. For the avoidance of doubt, all votes received for celebrities going through to the next stage of voting prior to the lines being frozen are carried forward to the next stage of voting.
Voting restrictions:
Users of the App are limited to: (i) (5) votes per registered mobile number per voting window for the “Trial Vote and Vote Off Vote; and (ii) (1) or up to five (5) vote(s) per registered mobile number per voting window, as set out in the Programme and/or in the App, for any Other Vote and Pairing Vote. Viewers voting via Phone or MSDC may vote as many times as they like, however the Promoter believes that any votes for one (1) celebrity which are received from any one (1) recognised number on these platforms in excess of six hundred (600) votes are deemed to be designed to excessively manipulate the outcome of the vote and are unfair to other users and other celebrities. The Promoter and the Programme’s producers reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any votes made above the permitted levels having regard to all the circumstances and information available at the relevant time. The Promoter and/or the Programme’s producers may in their sole discretion contact voters who have voted in excess of the permitted levels.
Voting results:
Each week, at the discretion of ITV or the Programme’s producer, viewers in the United Kingdom, Channel Islands and Isle of Man may vote for:
Trial: the celebrity/celebrities they would like to do the Trial or other activity as indicated in the Programme and/or in any other ITV programme(s) (as applicable) (via the App, PRTS and/or MSDC as specified in the Programme and/or in any other ITV programme(s) (as applicable). The celebrity/celebrities with the most votes will do the Trial or other activity (“Trial Vote”).
Vote off: the celebrity/celebrities they would like to keep in the show as indicated (via the App, PRTS and MSDC). The celebrity/celebrities with the lowest number of votes will be at risk of leaving the competition (“Vote Off Vote”).
Pairing: the celebrities they would like to see paired with a specific critter for a Trial as indicated in the Programme, the App and/or website (“Pairing Vote”). There will be various critters available and viewers must pair all celebrities with an available critter in order to vote. Once a category of critter is no longer available, viewers must pair the remaining celebrities with the remaining critters.
Other votes: throughout the Programme, the Promoter reserves the right to introduce any other votes in a format which will be announced in the Programme (“Other Vote”).
The results of the votes will be announced in the Programme.
In each case, the elimination format, and any specific terms relating to that week’s elimination, will be announced in the applicable on-air interaction information before voting opens.
Final
During the final of the Programme, the celebrity with the most votes will be declared the winner of the competition. In the event of a tie between the final two (2) remaining celebrities, they will be declared joint winners of the Programme.
Any variation on the format of elimination as set out in these terms and conditions will be announced in the Programme and such format as announced in the Programme will prevail.
Contingencies
In the event of a tie in any vote, where two (2) or more celebrities receive joint highest or lowest votes, or in the event that the outcome of a vote cannot be reasonably determined because of a technical failure or other circumstance beyond the reasonable control of ITV, then the celebrities may be asked by the producers of the Programme to determine their own outcome, which the vote would have otherwise determined, the outcome may be determined by random selection or where relevant, a second vote may take place to determine the outcome of the vote or in respect of evictions the producer of the Programme at their sole discretion may refer back to the cumulative total of votes (where all remaining celebrities were included) received since the evictions began.
The Programme’s producers may, at times, in their sole discretion require the celebrities to determine which of the celebrities may do a Trial or other activity, in which event the relevant public vote previously held may be declared void.
If the celebrity/celebrities who receives the highest number of votes to do a Trial or other activity refuse(s) to participate in the Trial (or to continue to participate if they have started the activity) or is unable to participate or continue to participate due to medical concerns, or for other reasonable concerns, which are beyond the control of ITV and/or the producers, then the celebrity/celebrities who has received the next highest number of votes may be required to do the Trial or other activity. If that celebrity/celebrities also refuses or is unable to participate in the Trial or other activity (or to continue to participate if they have started the activity) then an alternative celebrity may be selected to take part in the trial at the producers’ discretion. If the vote is for a team of celebrities and any celebrity/celebrities refuses to participate in the activity or is unable to do so due to medical concerns, or for other reasonable concerns, which are beyond the control of ITV and/or the producers, then the team with the largest number of votes will still participate in the activity without such celebrity/celebrities.
If any of the celebrity/celebrities is unable to perform or is prevented from performing fully in the Programme for any reason including without limitation medical reasons, then the producers of the Programme will in their sole discretion decide whether that celebrity/celebrities will continue in the Programme, having regard to all circumstances and information available to them at the relevant time. The producers of the Programme will in their sole discretion determine if another celebrity/celebrities may be allowed to enter the competition.
If the outcome of a vote cannot be reasonably determined because of a technical failure or for any other reasons beyond the Programme’s producer’s or ITV’s reasonable control the Programme producers’ decision will determine the outcome.
If circumstances arise beyond the reasonable control of ITV that make the scheduled Trial or other activity unsafe for the celebrities then the Programme’s producers reserve their right, at their sole discretion, to substitute the scheduled Trial or other activity for an alternative.
The producers of the Programme may in their discretion reintroduce a celebrity seen in earlier stages of the competition who was previously eliminated by the public vote.
