If there are technical or other issues with the votes, the Promoter reserves the right to discount the votes (as applicable) and announce the result of the vote without including those affected votes.
The Promoter is not responsible for any vote services promoted outside the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man as these are not within their control. Votes must not be sent in through agents or on behalf of another person, and viewers cannot submit votes as an agent of any other person. The Promoter and the Programme producers reserve the right to discount votes if they have reasonable grounds to suspect they have been made from outside the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man, from unofficial third party voting services or otherwise in breach of these terms and conditions.
Please note it is not possible to vote via any method not stated in these terms and conditions. The Promoter may, at its sole discretion, withdraw app voting on a temporary or permanent basis.
Voting opens and closes for each voting event as specified in the app, on the website, on authorised social media and/or during the Programme.
Viewers are limited to one (1) vote per registered mobile number per voting event.
The Promoter and/or the producers of the Programme reserve the right to vary the format of a voting event at any time. Any such variation will be announced in the Programme, on the app, the website and/or on authorised social media and such format as announced in the Programme, on the app, the website and/or on authorised social media will prevail.
At various points in the Programme, at the discretion of the Promoter or the Programme producers, Islanders may be at risk of leaving the Programme villa. In the case of votes to keep Islanders in the Programme, the Islander(s) with the lowest number of votes may leave the villa. In the case of votes to eliminate Islanders from the Programme, the Islander(s) with the highest number of votes may leave the villa. In each case, the elimination format, and any specific terms relating to that particular elimination, will be announced in the applicable on-air interaction information, on authorised social media, the website and/or within the app before voting opens.
The producers of the Programme may in their discretion reintroduce an Islander seen in earlier stages of the competition who was previously evicted. The Programme producers' decision will be final.
The outcome of a voting event will be shown on the app, on authorised social media and/or during the Programme.
During the final episode of the Programme, the couple with the most valid votes will be declared the winners of the competition.
If any of the Islander(s) leave or are removed from the Programme for any reason, including without limitation medical reasons, then the producers of the Programme will in their sole discretion decide whether such Islander(s) will be removed from the vote or the vote may be cancelled and restarted without such Islander(s), having regard to all circumstances and information available to them at the relevant time. The producers of the Programme will in their sole discretion determine if another Islander may be allowed to enter the competition.
If the outcome of a vote cannot be reasonably determined because of a technical failure, a tie, or for any other circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the producers of the Programme, their agents or sub-contractors, then the Promoter and Programme producers may choose (at their sole discretion) that the vote will be cancelled and reopened at a later date; or that the Programme producers will determine the outcome; or that the other Islanders will determine the outcome.
If a voting event is cancelled, then at the Promoter’s and Programme producers’ discretion either the Islander(s) will decide on the outcome of that voting event, or the voting event will be postponed.
Any decision by the Islanders, or by the Promoter and Programme producers will be final.
Alternative voting route
Without limiting the above, if there are technical or other issues with online voting, or other circumstance then (at the Promoter’s and Programme producers’ discretion) the voting mechanic may be changed to a paid emergency mobile voice short codes (“VSC”) for the Final Love Island Live Show. This will involve calling the following seven (7) digit number 6228201-20 from a UK mobile telephone which confirms the VSC vote. Each vote via a UK mobile to a VSC costs 15 pence. VSC voting is only available from a mobile phone. It is not possible to vote by calling the VSC from a landline or via any other method. Call charges may apply if the number mis-dialed is a valid number.
The Promoter gives no warranty that the VSC service will be available, legal or appropriate for use in locations outside the UK.
Viewers voting via VSC may vote as many times as they like, however the Promoter and the producers of the Programme believe that any votes for one voting event which are received from any one (1) recognised number in excess of six hundred (600) votes are deemed to be designed to manipulate the outcome of the vote and are unfair to other users and other Islanders. On the VSC platforms (where it is not technically practical to limit the votes) if a viewer votes more than six hundred (600) times in respect of one voting event, the Promoter and the Programme producers reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any votes made above the permitted levels having regard to all the circumstances and information available at the relevant time. The Promoter and/or the Programme producers may in their sole discretion contact voters who have voted through the VSC platforms to an excessive level.
All viewers voting must obtain the bill payer’s permission before voting.
