Alison takes us on a rocky road!

We're heading round to Alison's for another baking challenge, and this time she's showing us how to make her delicious take on rocky road!

Serves: Makes about 9 squares


200g dark chocolate, broken up into small pieces

125g unsalted butter

2 tbsp golden syrup

200g biscuits

200g chocolate bars, chopped up, or marshmallows / nuts


  • Line a 20cm square baking tin with non-stick baking paper

  • Place the chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl and place over a pan of simmering water to slowly melt

  • Once the chocolate is melted, allow to cool to room temperature, then mix in the golden syrup and fold in the biscuits and chopped sweets or other ingredients

  • Tip the mixture into the lined baking tin and flatten out. Place in the fridge for a couple of hours until set.

  • Cut into squares and enjoy!
