What are the best shoes to wear with wide-leg trousers?

Lisa loves a wide-leg trouser or flare - we always do it with a really cool boot. Maybe leopard-print or a platform. It's really important where the trousers are going to hit on the boot, so get your trousers a little bit longer, wear a heel and go for a square-toe or point-toe.

Amber’s top tip: Many shops such as Topshop, M&S and Next offer trousers in different leg lengths. When it comes to a wide-leg style buy a longer length than you usually would to ensure the hemline hits the floor when pairing them with heels.

I am petite - what coat should I invest in?

When it comes to coats you need to make sure that you're not going to get too drowned by anything too long, anything too fussy, anything too bulky. So I'd invest in something a little bit shorter like the shackets we've seen on the high street, or a long-line tailored jacket.

Amber’s top tip: Coats can often make you look bulky so regardless of your size and height I would always size down in a coat; this is to ensure the fit is as tailored and streamline as possible.

I’m a curvy size 18 - can I wear a knee high boot?

You have to find the right knee-high for you. Everybody's legs are different shapes and sizes, and people with a larger calf can struggle with knee-high boots. But look for ones with an elasticated back (try M&S) that will fit over your leg and be super-flattering!

Amber's top tip: Another good option is a slouchy style knee boot in a supple suede. Real leather or suede will soften and stretch the more you wear them which means they will mould around your calf for a better fit.
