New Wicked movie, Deadpool & Wolverine and more teased during Super Bowl!

Some people watch the Super Bowl for the sport, and others love the ads... which this year have offered first looks at upcoming films such as Wicked and Deadpool & Wolverine!

Here's some of our favourites that you might have missed...

It's the long-awaited movie adaptation of the popular musical, Wicked! Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo star in the new adaption, which precedes Dorothy’s arrival in Oz and tells the story of Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West.

The cast also includes Oscar-winner Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero Tigelaar and Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard of Oz, who all star in the trailer.

The film is set to be released in the UK on November 28.

Canadian star Ryan Reynolds and Australian actor Hugh Jackman shared the screen in the first-look trailer of Deadpool & Wolverine.

The title of the upcoming third film in the franchise was announced during the trailer, which is set to premiere in the US on July 26.

The clip showed Reynolds’ anti-hero Deadpool making his introduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as a shadow of Jackman’s Wolverine wrapped up the teaser.

Deadpool was previously an offshoot of the X-Men universe, which was owned by 20th Century Fox before that studio was absorbed by Disney.

A first trailer for the much-anticipated film Twisters, starring Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Anthony Ramos, was also shown.

The original film, titled Twister starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton, was released in 1996 and followed a pair of storm chasers who risk their lives in an attempt to test an experimental weather alert system.

The new film is expected to be released in July 2024.

Despicable Me 4

With a star-studded line up including Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell, Despicable Me 4 is the first Despicable Me to be released in seven years!

The film will see Gru adapting to family life with his adopted daughters, wife Lucy and new son Gru Jr. However chaos hits when Maxime Le Mal breaks out of prison intent on targeting him and the brood. Can Gru and his minions keep the family safe?

The new outing for the Despicable Me franchise hits UK cinemas on 12 July.
