Sex and the City is back... but with only three of the four stars!
Sex and the City is returning for a 10-part limited series on HBO Max, titled And Just Like That, with three of the four original stars.
Sarah Jessica Parker announced the series on her Instagram, posting a video showing some iconic New York locations and sounds, with a caption that read 'I couldn't help but wonder... where are they now? X, SJ'
The new series will visit the characters 20 years on, following Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte as they 'navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s'.
However, notably missing from the series will be Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha in the HBO series that ran between 1998 and 2004, as well as two Sex and the City films.
HBO has not commented on why Cattrall is not part of the new project.
The new series, comprising 10 half-hour episodes, is scheduled to begin production in New York in late spring, with no date yet given for streaming.
