Skin care myths busted!
Does toothpaste really dry out spots? And should you only wear SPF in the summer?
When it comes to skin care advice the amount of information available is endless, making it hard to know what is fact and what is fiction!
So, aesthetician and author Dija Ayodele is here to bust those common skin care myths and show you what you should be using on your skin.

1. Toothpaste dries up spots overnight.
False. You need salicylic acid to help remove the oil and bacteria from the skin.

False(ish). You need pigment faders that help to block melanin.

6. Oily skin doesn’t need moisturiser
False. Oily skin still needs hydration, otherwise the skin will produce more oil to compensate.

7. You can close your pores.
False. They are not doors. If pores are very visible on the skin, salicylic acid and retinoids are your friends.
