Snakes on the loose! (And what to do if you find one in your bed...)

From the boa constrictor found wrapped around a pigeon on a busy East London high street, to the woman who discovered a python in her bed, snakes are on the loose and on the streets of Britain. Unsurprisingly, it’s causing some alarm.

And that couldn’t be more true for Stuart Saunders (who’s blind) and his carer Natasha Milum, who found an eight foot python in his bathroom. They join us from the scene in Exeter.

Snake expert and animal psychologist Trevor Smith is in the studio, telling us why snakes are turning up on our streets, and why we’re so scared of them, plus answering that crucial question: what to do if you find one in your bed? A few of his friends may be slithering along too.
