The lipsticks that won't stain your facemask
Safety comes first, but that doesn’t mean beauty has to be abandoned! It’s one of our favourite make-up products, and while wearing lipstick with a mask may not sound practical, it’s still possible.
Bryony Blake tests out the top five long-lasting lip products - but which ones will pass the mask test?
L'Oréal Very Matte Lipstick Crayon, £9.99
Bryony says: "I apply this in layers, pop it on, pat it with a bit of tissue, pop it on again. Crayons are quick. This one isn't wet, whereas some of the other ones tend to be a bit liquidy ".
Maybelline Superstay 24 Matte Ink Lipstick £9.99
"I absolutely love this", says Bryony. "I tried and tested this the other day, I was wearing a mask for about 10 hours, and it did not move. Boy, oh boy, does it stay!"
KVD Vegan Beauty Everlasting Liquid Lipstick, £15.30
"These have just come out in small travel sizes", says Bryony. "This one is a little wetter, you absolutely do have to let it dry. I can't say that enough!"
MAC Liquid Lipcolour £19
"Reds and pinks will last longer, because they slightly stain the lip", explains Bryony. "Very liquidy, this one, not too wet - very malleable for the lips - you absolutely have to let this one dry. You will notice it feels different when it dries."
Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick, £15
"This one's probably the most liquid out of all of them. You have to understand that sometimes these are going to take a little longer to dry", says Bryony.
Elizabeth Arden Advanced Lip-Fix Cream, £20
"This is good for people who have fine lines around their mouths or are worried about bleeding", explains Bryony. "This, you pop before your lipstick, and go around the outside of your lips as well. Let it dry - you have to be patient!"
Bryony says: "Old school! Do you remember this? This can go over any lipstick, it's like a sealant. I love this product! You can use the lipsticks you've got at home, but with this."
Huda Beauty Lip Contour Matte Pencil, £13
"If you're not a lipstick wearer, you can do all of this with a lipliner", says Bryony. "Make sure when you're choosing a lipliner, you want it to be quite waxy and smooth".
