The paralympians told they're not 'disabled enough' to compete
It’s the row rocking the world of sport - after two players have been told they’re ‘no longer disabled enough’ to compete at wheelchair basketball. George Bates, who even helped Team GB qualify for the Tokyo Paralympics, says he’s considered amputating his leg to make the squad.
He’s joined by 17 year old Oscar Knight, who hopes to also one day play for Team GB and who suffers from the same chronic pain condition, as they explain why they feel like their future has been taken.
George has set up a petition to urge the International Paralympic Committee to review and amend their classification system.
