The seven best mascaras, according to our beauty editor
With masks now part of our everyday lives, focus on our eyes and our eye make-up has never been more prominent.
But the best eyeshadow or liner in the world is nothing without the perfect slick of mascara. With so many out there how do you know which is the best one for you?
This Morning beauty editor Vicki Laycock has done the hard work for us and picked her favourite mascaras on the market, whatever your budget.
Top tips for maximising your mascara
Curl your lashes: This small step before you add mascara will give an extra oomph to your favourite brand
Don't over-pump: Over-pumping the wand in and out of the tube adds air to the product causing it to dry out more quickly
The perfect wand: If you find a wand shape you love but maybe not the perfect mascara, clean and keep the wand to use with other brands

Vicki's top mascara picks
A brand-new launch from Maybelline that has been flying off the shelves and we can see why, the flexy short rubber brush makes it easy to get into the lashline and make sure your lashes are fully coated and clump-free.
If you love a big mascara brush then this is the wand for you - lots of short bristles, with lots of product, great for straight lashes that need a curl.
Celebrity make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury’s second mascara launch is very different to her first offering. The wand is a very long, flat rubber paddle, great for creating a VERY dramatic, black mascara look - not for the faint-hearted... eye make-up remover is a must!
The hourglass mascara is a tubular mascara formula, so instead of your lashes being coated in pigment the tubing coats each lash in very black tube-like polymers. The formula isn’t water resistant but it won't run and is easy to remove with a little warm water. This is my favourite mascara at the moment.
Another new launch and the first mascara in Victoria’s make-up range. This is a very fine curved brush, great for someone with short lashes or who doesn’t like the clumping of product with a big, multi-bristled wand.
This mascara has a unique hourglass-shaped, full-bristled brush which is perfect for longer lashes that want that extra curl and length. It will really define and lengthen your lashes.
This is a fantastic waterproof mascara that won't budge, with an amazing price tag.
